Pocket Reform is an open-source hardware project exploring what a computer could look like if repairability, transparency and digital sovereignty were treated as fundamental design principles.
The project emerged as a response to the increasingly closed and proprietary systems that shape everyday digital life. Its modular architecture makes the device accessible for repair, modification and experimentation, while open documentation creates transparency around its development.
The project combines strategic product development, user research, rapid prototyping and communication. It also explores the relationship between technological design and questions of autonomy, ownership and participation.
Rather than treating technology as a finished product, Pocket Reform understands it as an infrastructure that can be questioned, redesigned and collectively shaped.
