Deutschland geht Klauen is a political performance developed by Peng Kollektiv that uses satire and visual intervention to address questions of ownership, wealth and social inequality.
The costume design was developed as part of the performance’s broader visual language. Clothing functions not simply as styling, but as a means of constructing characters, communicating political positions and making the narrative legible in public space.
The project demonstrates how conceptual design can operate within performance and political communication, where visual decisions become part of an argument.
Here, design becomes a form of public discourse: immediate, symbolic and deliberately open to interpretation.
